LABORER- The Village of Armada is seeking a qualified,self motivated individual for the position of Department of Public Works laborer. Applicants must be a graduate of High School with a willingness to learn. Job duties will include, but are not limited to, bldg./grounds maintenance, water/sewer system operation/maintenance, street system maintenance, traffic control, snow and ice control, painting, maintenance of all village equipment, along with working with the public. Must pass physical and MDOT drug screen and will continue to be subject to random screening if hired. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a CDL-B w/air brake endorsement along with a clean driving record for the last five (5) years. Employee will be required to be on call on a rotating basis with a maximum 15 min. response time. In addition, applicants must possess a water distribution S-3 and chemical treatment license D-3 within three (3) years of the date of hire which requires the applicant to have the ability to do basic mathematics.
